Abstract In cancer care, the use of combined modalities such as radiation and chemotherapy have been instrumental in improving the lives of cancer patients over the past 50 years. As cancer patients received different treatment modalities, how are medical physicists more engaged in the data capture and application to their speciality. In this seminar, the future of data and its applications to both image-guided radiation therapy and multi-disciplinary oncology will be shared. For image-guided radiation therapy, the concepts of adaptive radiation therapy along with the emergence of theranostics will be discussed. With multi-disciplinary care, the use of data for decision-making across all modalities will be explored in how our teams use it for delivering evidence-based care. |
