Abstract This is an overview of Brachytherapy, primarily HDR, for new physicists. It provides practical knowledge of the modalities and practical use of HDR for radiation therapy in comparison to external beam radiation therapy. We discuss the importance of the role the physicist plays in the entire process. Additionally, this provides an overview of the safety required for brachytherapy treatment. |
