Abstract

The US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) is the corporate laboratory to the Army and executes academiclevel mission in research and development for the battleafter- next. The main focus of ARL is on the safety, comfort, and effectiveness of our Ground Forces. The Composites and Hybrid Materials Branch (CHMB) at ARL has a long history of developing multi-functional systems to support the Warfighter. The newest addition to CHMB is the Micro-Compositronics and Rapid Operations (MiCRO) Laboratory, which centers around the combination of many advanced manufacturing technologies.


Biography

Mr. Larry R. Holmes, Jr. is the ARL Principal Investigator for Additive Manufacturing Materials and Technology Development, and leads this area of research as well as all other activities within the MiCRO Lab. Mr. Holmes and colleagues throughout the Army Research Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) are tasked with guiding many of these activities. Mr. Holmes will present the RDECOM and ARL working roadmaps and will discuss current research projects supporting this mission area.
