Abstract

Framatome is developing advanced technologies for the light water reactor fleet from Enhanced Accident Tolerant Fuels, to Advanced Codes and Methods and beyond. Framatome innovation in fuel is bringing value to U.S. nuclear industry today and in the future. Framatome continues to be the world leader in nuclear technology.


Biography

Mr. Parker is a Project Manager with Framatome Inc. possessing over 15 years of experience in the area of Nuclear Fuel Supply and Engineering. His experience includes both core design and nuclear physics for both BWR and PWR reactor types in the U.S. and Taiwan. As a project manager, he has managed contracts and projects for a first of a kind implementation of new fuel designs in PWR cores. For the past four years, he has acted as the project manager of a group of over 100 engineers located in Europe and the US developing and licensing a new code and method suite for application to PWRs. Mr. Parker’s most recent assignments have him working on implementation of the new code and method suite. In addition, he has provided support to the DOE on the TREAT reactor program as well as Advanced Reactor Concepts in the areas of modeling and simulation and fuel fabrication.
