Abstract
The Shackelford Graduate Fellows Program is designed to provide an environment for graduate level research while providing financial support to qualified graduate students. The program also provides another avenue for academic collaboration between the research units at GTRI and various academic units through joint direction and supervision of graduate student research. Graduate Fellows presenting are: Kara Evanoff (MSE,8:30-9:00 a.m., Silicon-Decorated Carbon Nanotubes as High Capacity Anodes for Lithium Ion Batteries); Komkwun Munnae (ME, 9:00-9:30 a.m., Robotic Flexible Endoscope Control); Kevin Davies (ME, 9:30-10:00 a.m., Modeling Fuel Cell Systems for Concurrent Optimization of Hardware and Controls); Jack Flicker (MSE, 10:00-10:30 a.m., Three Dimensional Carbon Nanotube Based Photovoltaics); Jonathan Murphy (AE, 10:30-11:00 a.m., Selecting Energy Portfolios with Renewable Sources, Efficiency, and Storage); Nurkan Turkdogru (AE, 11:00-11:30 a.m., Validity of the Point Source Assumption of a Rotor for Farfield Acoustic Measurements); Craig Clark (Chem, 11:30-12:00 a.m., Detection of Single Ion Spectra by Coulomb Crystal Heating); Liam MacDermed (CS, 12:00-12:30 p.m., Solving Stochastic Games); Andrew Miller (COC, 12:30-1:00 p.m., Improving Adolescent Health Through Social Computing Technologies); and Russ Hamilton (ECE, 1:00-1:30 p.m., Localization in Ad Hoc Networks) |
