Abstract

In order to generate more accurate dose estimates for radiological environmental assessments within the Indigenous Canadian community, it would be advantageous to have voxel models of species that are part of a traditional Indigenous diet. When creating these Monte Carlo Simulation, it is important to setup an accurate scenario. To reduce error, potential sources of error need to be accounted for in the simulation. A series of aquatic simulations were done using various materials for the bottom of the lake. In addition, I will be going over the process of voxel Monte Carlo simulations.

Biography

I am a graduate student working towards a PhD at Ontario Tech University in Canada. The focus of my research is Monte Carlo dosimetry of non-human biota and their environment. My current research is focused on the moose, this has nothing to do with my being Canadian.
