SUMMARY

As a new emerging manufacturing paradigm, platform-driven crowdsourced manufacturing utilizes the cooperation between the platform, open innovator, and service providers to configure and fulfill the supply chain. In this value creation and delivery process, the cyber platform enables and manages the interaction between each participant in the supply chain to respond to varieties of customer needs which let platform-driven crowdsourced manufacturing become a persuasive approach of seeking manufacturing solutions. This thesis work examines platform-driven crowdsourced manufacturing based on two unique perspectives which are information sharing in the product fulfillment process and operational excellence of the platform.
To increase the effectiveness and efficiency, the product fulfillment process that involves dispersed service providers requires a distributed information sharing and management tool. In this regard, this thesis work proposes an information as a service fulfillment system for the product fulfillment process in crowdsourced tasks based on blockchain and distributed file-sharing system. Furthermore, an optimal balancing strategy is developed for fulfillment capacity among manufacturing clusters based on evolutionary competition cooperation game theory which aims for the long-time prosperity of a crowdsourced manufacturing ecology.
