SUMMARY
In this study, the effects of layer orientation on the mechanical properties of 316L stainless steel (SS) fabricated via a DED additive manufacturing process were investigated. Microstructure was analyzed and quasi-static tensile tests were conducted on DED 316L SS specimens fabricated in orientation increments of 15 degrees with respect to the loading direction. Specimens were tested in their as-built condition without any post process heat treatments. Yield, ultimate tensile strength (UTS), and maximum elongation were measured.Phone Dial-in+1.888.748.9073 (United States(Primary))+1.844.540.8065 (United States(Primary))+1.408.419.1715 (United States(San Jose))+1.408.915.6290 (United States(San Jose))(Global Numbers)Meeting ID: 532 897 991https://bluejeans.com/532897991(J.
