SUMMARY
Soot volume fraction and relative particle size distribution is measured using laser-induced incandescence (LII) diagnostics in a three-sector jet A RQL aeroengine combustor. First, the setup is described including details of the combustor, pressure vessel, data acquisition system, optics, and facilities. Then, theory and methodology of relevant LII and time-resolved LII (Ti-ReLII) diagnostics is explained, and results are described. Trends in 2D spatially resolved soot volume fraction and relative particle size distribution are explored across various pressures and global equivalence ratios.
